Adrianna Serine Darnesse Mother: Gemma Farwyn Father: Thane Darnesse Birthplace: the city of Sangrilak within the realm of Torimir Siblings: Sheridana (twin sister) and Gareth (older brother) Race: half-faelin (faelin heritage contains both Hinterlean and Savanlean descent . . . human bloodline is recondian) Appearance: long curly pale blonde hair, pale gold skin tone, slightly canted dark brown eyes Profession: magic-user/spell-caster Abilities: primary Talent, future-sense, faelin sight and hearing Skills: beast-riding, swimming, reading and writing in Common, Hinterlean, Savanlean and Cimmerian, spellcraft, intermediate quarterstaff use, dancing Description: At the beginning of the first book, she is young and less naïve than she seems.  Childhood experiences have made her fearful and lacking in self-confidence.  Yet, she has a striking beauty that bids others pause, and a charisma that draws people to her.  She has seen her fair share of heart-ache, and it isn’t until Dinim, and then eventually Sirion, begin to break down her weary barriers that she starts to find inner strength.

Sirion Timberlyn Mother: Lilandria of Kleyshes Father: Servial Timberlyn Birthplace: the domain of Kleyshes within the realm of Elvandahar Siblings: Anyanka (younger sister) Race: Hinterlean faelin Appearance: shoulder-length dark red hair, golden skin tone, amber eyes Profession: ranger Abilities: faelin sight and hearing, weather-sense Skills: beast-riding, swimming, advanced quarterstaff use, advanced sword-play, intermediate archery, hunting, tracking, and fishing, reading and writing Hinterlean and Common, advanced forest survival, intermediate hand-to-hand combat Description: At the beginning we see him as a rugged, battle-weary ranger with little thought to anything but his immediate profession.  But when he sees Adrianna again, his world is thrown out of whack.  He had always harbored an unspoken passion for her, and when he and his sister rescue her from the underground temple, it seems to bring the meaning of his life into sharp relief.  He is a being with an uncharacteristically animalistic nature and is heavily reliant upon only himself and the instincts deep within him.  As he begins to fall in love with Adria, he realizes that she is the element in his life that has always been missing.

Sheridana Valyrie Darnesse Mother: Gemma Farwyn Father: Thane Darnesse Birthplace: the city of Sangrilak within the realm of Torimir Siblings: Adrianna (twin sister) and Gareth (older brother) Race: half-faelin (faelin heritage contains both Hinterlean and Savanlean descent . . . human bloodline is recondian) Appearance: long dark brown hair usually made into a braid, pale gold skin tone, slightly canted dark blue eyes Profession: fighter Abilities: faelin sight and hearing Skills: beast-riding, swimming, intermediate quarterstaff use, specialized sword use, advanced archery, reading and writing in Common, hunting and setting snares Description: At the beginning we see her as a single mother struggling with her new responsibilities in the life.  She is tormented by her final moments with the child’s father, who suffered a hideous death before she even realized she was pregnant.  When she meets back up with her sister, things seem to be coming back together for her again.  Yet, when she realizes the threat to her and her and her family, she realizes that she must make a choice.  She can take refuge with her daughter in Elvandahar, or she can once more take up her sword and be the warrior she was born to be.

Dinim Dimitri Coabra Mother: Chaladris Coabra Father: unknown Birthplace: undetermined Siblings: Paldrien (older brother) Race: Cimmerean faelin Appearance: long black hair with a streak of silver, pale skin tone, lavender eyes Profession: dimensionalist spell-caster Abilities: primary Talent, faelin sight and hearing Skills: basic beast-riding, swimming, intermediate quarterstaff use, advanced sword-play, reading and writing in Cimmerean, Savanlean and Common, spellcraft, arcane lore, knowledge of ancient languages Description:  Having been apprenticed under one of the greatest sorcerers who has ever lived, he enters the story with his own share of power.  With Sirion and the original band of Wildrunners, he has already begun his fight against the vast tide of evil that has begun to permeate Shandahar.  But then he meets Adrianna, and his focus begins to shift.  As he becomes entwined within his feelings for her, he begins to waver and fall.  He loses faith in her . . . and ultimately himself.  It isn’t until they are separated that he is able to regain his footing and step up to be the man he was always meant to be.
